The debate will be starting at 9am each day and going well into the evening.  Considering the constant turnover of guests at Mount Rushmore we are planning to repeat the program every two hours.

Basically the first hour will be 5 – 7 minutes introductory speeches by the candidates.  Since each candidate will only be on stage for about 10 minutes, they will be at their booths for the remainder of the hour for interviews and on-one-on meeting with the guests.  The speeches will last about 45 minutes followed by an open mic.

The next hour will be the debate.  We’ve done two other debates, one at the University of Cincinnati and one at the State of the World in Wilkes-Barre, PA.  These are all part of a series we are calling INDEPENDENTS DAY leading up to the actual INDEPENDENTS” DAY, November 4, 2008, where we hope to break the 153 year tradition of either Democratic or Republican rule.

The format for the previous debates and since the audience had never seen the candidates before the moderators asked each candidate the same question so the audience could see how each responded to the basic questions about the economy, health care, the war, illegal immigration, etc.  We limited the responses to 1 minute.  However, at this event we will let the moderators decide if they want to ask the same questions or mix them up a little.
