Bill Ingram for United States President

Major Crimes - 1 year to 5 year sentence

With this sentence comes a very strict program of discipline, education, and professional (able to prescribe medication) counseling.  A person in this program would face discipline similar to our more elite military units.  They would be provided educational and work programs along with professional counseling to help them succeed when they return to the community.

During the later part of the program they would work their way back into the community through first the work release program, temporary supervised care giver releases, and probation.

This program will cost more than current programs, but there will be a considerable amount of money saved in the others programs to fund this one.

As with any major crime there would be a period of probation/parole at the conclusion of the prison sentence.  The length of this would be determined by the courts and could be modified or extended as needed.  Violators of the probation/parole agreements were be returned to custody.
