I will declare Victory, end the war in Iraq and Afghanistan and start bringing
our troops home. I will do this mainly because there
is no one over there who can surrender to us.
There is no one person in power that can surrender his sword and say, “We
surrender.
You’ve conquered us.”
I will leave a military presence in Iraq and Afghanistan in the form of an US Army/Airbase Training Center. The main purpose of this base will be to provide training to local citizens so they can effectively secure their own country. A secondary purpose would be to have additional military supply bases in the region.
I will secure our oil interests in Iraq by setting up a base in the region of the oil fields. I will also setup another base in Afghanistan to oversee the destruction of the poppy fields. We've earned a base in each of these regions and we already have similar bases around the world like in England, Germany, Italy, Guam, the Philippines, Cuba, and Turkey.
I would give Iraq and Afghanistan a bill for the war of approximately $500 billion. I will accept cash or oil paid directly to the US government.
If you say, “But we need to
keep our troops over there to fight the war of terrorism so we don't have to
fight them here.”
Saying we are fighting a
war on terrorism, is like saying we are fighting a war on drugs or a war on
crime. We need to stop using the
word “war” when talking about terrorism.
A war is between two or more nations or sides.
Terrorism is simply a crime and we need to deal with terrorism like we
deal with any other crime.
We
investigate and hold those responsible accountable.
The US borders are open and we have 12 - 20 millions illegal immigrants in our country. We have drugs and illegal immigrants coming into our country everyday. No one is going to tell me that thousands of terrorists are not entering our own country by way of these open borders. We need to immediately close our borders and protect our country.
I recommend that we let the CIA , foreign intelligence/law enforcement agencies, and private security forces identify terrorists, headquarters, training camps, and other facilities/sites. We then deal with terror with terror. Since the terrorist like using bombs, I recommend that once a terrorist site is identified we simply drop one of our mega bombs on it. In this day and age, no American fighting man or women should set foot on foreign soil when dealing with terrorism.
Simply put terror should be dealt with, with terror.
If you say, “We need to
keep our troops over there to keep the peace.”
I say, “That is not our
job.
That is the job of the United
Nations peace keeping forces. If United Nation countries are unwilling to
send troops, I will recommend that we start closing US bases and pulling most of
our troops out of their countries.”
